Turrentine’s experience includes building a solo practice into lucrative multi-practitioner operation then negotiating the sale of this practice. Following the sale of this practice, he built and certified one of the few birthing centers in North Carolina. He then acquired another of his own healthcare organizations in another state. He built two practices from bottom up including the real estate for both and expanding these practices from a solo practice to an organization consisting of over multiple locations and the expansion of multiple physicians and employees. He has also supervised the mergers of many health care organizations including advising many physicians on the valuation of their organizations. He has also consulted and advised various medical practices on the daily operations and negotiation of conflicts involving those practices. He served several leadership capacities as the President of the Surry-Yadkin-Allegheny- Wilkes County Medical Societies of North Carolina, Chief of the Ob/Gyn and Surgery Departments, and Chairman of the Laser and Robotic Committees.

His experience includes negotiation conflict using both his MBA and Doctor of Ministry. Other experience includes the daily triage of performing over 30 to 40 surgeries per month, 60 to 70 deliveries per month, and administration of thousands of epidural anesthesia over the years. He created a new procedure called MIVH which he shared with Johnson & Johnson Endo Surgery, Inc. A new instrument was invented and a “JET” pack developed to accomplish the MIVH. Dr. Turrentine taught this procedure throughout the United States and at the central J&J teaching labs in Cincinnati, Ohio. Turrentine also instructed the physicians in Robotics and surgical labs. The MIVH allowed for less pain and faster recovery of hysterectomy patients. More recently, Dr. Turrentine contributed to the development of Covid cocktails after working the front lines to defeat the Covid pandemic. His cocktail has kept thousands of patients from hospitalizations, death, and long term damage with 100% cure rate within 24 hours if treated early and within days if treated before 12 days of becoming infected.

Dr. Turrentine’s clinical experience and other interests have contributed to his success. He has taught history to universities, colleges, historical societies, and civic organizations via acting as various American heroic characters to bring history alive. He has been a guest minister in many churches, is a student of the Hebrew and Greek language, teaches Sunday School, and is an avid pilot and scuba instructor. He used his pilot license ratings to fly into Central America during the rise of the Nicaraguan Sandinista Movement to fly in supplies to the Contra fighters in 1979 to help stop Communism there. He also piloted into difficult terrain over forty years to set up jungle medical missionary clinics. He has also worked as a consultant for the Navy in the Beaufort Sea to teach Sub escape under the ice. He is also a specialty scuba instructor for helidiving, technical diving, rebreather, cave, and other specialties.
